I cannot wait to hear this song. When Barbra sings she always does the unexpected and leaves me wanting more!! Barbra has given so many timeless vocals and all because of her musicality and unique vocal expression. I pray this album is as good as "What Matters Most", and even better!

I just got Release Me today......OMG it's brilliant, it showcases that Streisand truly has no equal either back then or now. And as for If Its meant to be ...... It's awesome such beautiful words and music for Barbra to weave her vocals around truly fantastic, that one song is on repeat now, yes it is that good and I'm not saying that cos I'm Irish either.... Go get it and give your ears a treat x

Barbra Streisand's penchant for performing new music led me to discover Brian Byrne, whose "If It's Meant To Be" is a highlight of her 2012 "Release Me" album. With Streisand's emotive interpretation and the Bergmans' cinematic lyrics, the song transforms into a bittersweet last dance that signals the end of a relationship. It's a brilliant gem.
